stuckincincy Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Cincinnati Enquirer 04/06/05 - Mark Curnutte: "One player who remains unsigned is Rich Braham, an unrestricted free agent who is the team's longtime starting center. The Bengals entertained a visit from former Mississippi center Chris Spencer this week. Spencer, LSU's Ben Wilkerson and North Carolina's Jason Brown are considered the top three centers available in the draft. Offensive line coach Paul Alexander showed Spencer around the team's Paul Brown Stadium facility. Spencer is 6 feet 3, 307 pounds, and is known for his balance and ability to quickly get into good blocking position against defenders." The B'gals players are in town for 14 weeks participating in a mandatory strength and conditioning program prior to camp. Not a bad idea...Bills should do it, and avoid surprises like MW last year...

These probably are voluntary camps.

After going 0 for 12 years, the B'gals purged the team (IIRC there are only 4 or 5 players left from the '01 club) and new signings, either draftees or FA's or trades either agreed to the terms or didn't sign... After Carl Pickens' outbursts, B'gals contracts include language about "comments detrimental to the team etc.". That's how they (wrongly) dumped former punter Lee Johnson a few years ago.

stuckincincy Posted April 6, 2005 Author Posted April 6, 2005 Maybe they should try something else it doesn't seem to be helping 297656 Still, 1 game behind the Bills last year, with 13 on IR and loss of the starting qb for the last 3 games... Share my amazement!
BillsFanForever19 Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 They cant have him he is ours..... 297439 I'd still rather see Matt Jones
BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 They cant have him he is ours..... 297439 Yeah seriously, we called dibs. How dare the Bungals not recognize the time-honored and holy practice of "dibs"!?
stuckincincy Posted April 6, 2005 Author Posted April 6, 2005 It comes of the coach being the defacto GM. The "official" GM of the B'gals is Katy Blackburn, the daugher-in-law of owner Mike Brown. Betcha didn't know that.
