BillsGuru4 Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Sorry if I’ve missed this buried on a thread somewhere, but does anyone know who the starters are? Have they released a depth chart? Is Ford a RT or RG?
blacklabel Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Media reports from practice this week said the first team OL lined up like so: Dawkins-Spain-Morse-Feliciano-Ford 1
NickelCity Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 A fair few of us want to see Dawkins-Spain-Morse-Ford-Nsehke, but as mentioned above it's been Ford at RT with Nsehke rotating with him. According the the front office we may see a rotating set of OLinement (presumably only on the right side). 1
BillsGuru4 Posted September 4, 2019 Author Posted September 4, 2019 Wow! I figured Nsekhe would start the year at RT. I thought I heard he was looking good.

Success Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 I’m going to take a moment and celebrate how different and improved this line is from last season. I’m no Einstein, but I’m good at simple math. Josh Allen + time = wins. 2
Dkollidas Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 I think they like Feliciano’s nastiness up front. He seems to be a different kind of guy in terms of the mentality. Also, the Jets look strong on their interior defensive line, but not so much on the edge. I wonder if they’re limiting Ford’s exposure to elite players (Quinnen and Leonard Williams) by putting him on the edge and allowing Veterans in Feliciano/Morse to get the first stab at that assignment. 2

Jets interior are their strength. This plays into the McD method of week to week O line flexibility and very good chance you are spot on here

He's done everything asked of him and has been one of the better olinemen in the preseason for the Bills, from my eyes. I was hoping they would shift him to RG when Morse came back. I'm glad that's what happened. 1
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Who's listed as the #1 RB? Gore or Devin? I have Devin on my fantasy team along with Aaron Jones on GB and Tevin Coleman on the 49er's. Trying to decide between Coleman and Singletary. Think as the season goes on will become Singletary, but not sure yet who'll be given the ball more, him or Gore? Also have the guy Samuels from Pitt. Both of them could become my stars by later in the season.
oldmanfan Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Best thing the team did in the offseason was bring in so many O linemen and bring in a competent O line coach to teach them.
BringBackFergy Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 O line depth???? Try 7 - 10 maulers coming in waves. #prescient 1
GreggTX Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Well, Nsekhe and Feliciano are career backups, but maybe they'll both be OK. The rest of the OL is near average, depending on how Ford pans out. In either case, that's still a big improvement. 1

Probably not even the primary back-up at C or RG. Feliciano has looked good at RG. I think a Feliciano/Ford combo is better than a Ford/Nsekhe combo. Ford was a draft gift. A low first round guy picked in the second round at a position of need. This is the kind of pick that can really make a difference for a team/season. Fill a massive hole at an important position without giving up a toe of cash or assets. 1
JerseyBills Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Really digging this. It definitely throws defenses off . Ty-Spain-Morse-Dawkins-Ford ? 1

Johnny Hammersticks Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 (edited) I wouldn’t be shocked if Boettger is our starting LG before long. Spain has not really impressed me. Edited September 5, 2019 by Johnny Hammersticks 2
