I'm feeling pretty good about this season.

I just placed an order for some Zweigle's red hots and white hots.  It's been a long time since I grilled a white hot.  The wife doesn't like them so more for me.

I may have to place another order for tailgating at the Thanksgiving game.

Go Bill's!

Never had either.  Are they pretty good?  From where did you order them?

I'll be smokin a pork shoulder and wings.

A good smoked pork shoulder is tough to beat.

There will be plenty of smoking on Sundays here as well.  I'm sure there will be a pork but, packer brisket and ribs spending some time on my smoker this year.  I have a primo charcoal smoker I use and when I'm lazy a green mountain pellet grill.

It's just been a long time since I've  had a white hot.  They're kinda pricey to ship but what the heck, its Bill's football.

Homemade wings. Pre baked in oven at very low temp (200) for four hours and then smoked for another hour.

Numerous homemade sauces...and BLEU CHEESE ?

My only issue is will I be able to actually get past "the stall" and  not have to finish it in the oven ...

I have. HN isn't better imo.

My personal favorite after sahlens and zweigles are nathan's coney island original in natural casing. On site is best but great on any grill.

Just start extra early. You can rest it in a cooler for hours. I sometimes pull then reheat in the smoker in a foil pan.   May I also suggest that you try a Boston Butt instead of the shoulder? Smokes a lot better in my experience.

Never heard of a “stall” on pork butt or shoulder. Brisket yes, but pork seems to climb gradually.
