who the heck is Perez. another punter? cuz we need one of those badly

Luis Perez is a QB.  He played in the now defunct AAF startup league.  He was pretty impressive when I saw him.  He is one of the QBs who just got cut around the league.

Davis Webb from Cal is the target

I'd be OK with him.

My reasoning for starting the thread is that I don't think it is wise for a team to go into a season with only 2 QBs and no QB on the PS.  Yeah, teams will choose to have only 2 QBs on the 53 man roster, but if your starter goes down and you have to start your backup, you want to have somebody on your roster who knows your offensive system and can be activated with one week's notice to be available for emergency service.

I don't see anyone out there I love as a valuable development option, but of the bunch I like Kyle Shurmer. As a coach's son he knows the game, and he's conservative with the ball. Seems like a good Process guy who could eventually step in and not screw things up for a game or two.
