Three is not a huge number of RBs to try and make it through the season. On the other hand... it's a lot easier to find a running back during the season than a quarterback.

But I think Williams can be an asset in the red zone as we’ve seen a little bit of this preseason. he separates. just not with his feets. and has much to learn and develop , even at his age. he can do the work though. Ceilings limited. but if Brian D can makes use of him? awesome. we already have flyboys in Brown and Foster 39 minutes ago, OldTimeAFLGuy said: ...so he could be another failed Logan Thomas experiment?...HARD pass............. thought it was humor you old geezer ? wait maybe i am the old geezer.... 1

"The former UB cornerback impressed the Bills coaching staff throughout the summer. A concussion derailed any chances of Lewis competing for a roster spot late in August, but he is another prospect that the Bills would probably love to develop." 2

Yeah that Logan Thomas "experiment" set the Bills back decades. Btw, Thomas is still in the league. Plays for the Detroit Lions. Not bad for a "failed experiment".

I think it's also a sign of good coaching as is the 4-0 preseason record. The players at the bottom of the roster have been coached well and have performed better than the competition. Coach McD and staff have created a culture where the right kind of players are brought in, get coached up and improve as players. That happens top to bottom. Trust the process. And on top of that, I don't remember a team with a 6th round pick and two 7th round picks making the 53. This front office looks pretty smart.
