So they stop going to class, doing homework, etc. By the time they realize their dream isn't going to happen, they are so far behind and likely marginal academically to start with, they can never catch up so their only choice is to leave for the pros as if they stuck around, likely would be ineligible the following year anyway. If you follow SU basketball think that may have been Grants problem a few years back. He started out the season, people were touting him as a 1st round pick. By February not doing very well, but too late then to recover school wise, so he declared. Tyree's dad, I suspect, plays an outsized role in his life. Edited September 1, 2019 by PromoTheRobot

How thin the group is? Or is it young players actually get better with in game experience? The kid has talent, he’s not going to be a top 50 receiver in the league or anything but he certainly can make some plays 1

QB- Kyle Sloter (Got first hand look at him. Had amazing preseason) 3. S- Dean Marlowe (Expected to be cut when we bring back Captain Munnerlyn 4. OT- Doug McDermott (Have 10 linemen and one of them is likely to be cut)

He signed with the Seahawks PS I believe. Sounds like he was born to play in Dallas. Or Cincinnati.

I guess I'm just of the philosophy that you use those roster spots with guys you think have the potential to be Top 50 guys someday. 1

If all goes well, then they can cut that player after Week 1. Edited September 1, 2019 by from_dunkirk
