If this is a topic eslewhere please delete etc...I hadn't seen it here....

Considering that Gordon has been told by the Chargers he can play on his current deal or he can seek a trade, I have thought that there aren't a lot of teams that could both afford and need a RB at this point, but Buffalo seems to be a team that meats the criteria.  Would you guys want him?  If so, what are your thoughts on a contract and trade compensation?

No interest in Gordon here either.

At the RB position, I didn't get too excited over McCoy when he came here and I wouldn't get too excited over just about any other back.  Give me a group of specialists....have a competition of young guys.....I don't want/need the big name back.  Plus, if the Bills ever went for the 'high priced/elite' back..it would probably just mean they are committing to running more anyway, which I don't really want to watch.

There is probably one (crazy) scenario in which I would consider this:

The Bills look like contenders, Frank Gore is injured, Devin Singletary doesn't look the part, and the Bills (aside from the running back situation) are looking like contenders.  Even then, I don't you should be giving up much in order to get him on the roster

I don't think he's elite, so no, I'm not interested. The Bills' stable of running backs is pretty good now anyways.

I mean it should be but we are betting on a rookie; a 36 year old (Gore is a freak but this defies most logic), and a pretty average guy in Yeldon.  Odds are we are fine but there could be room for improvement.

But it I don’t think Gordon is anything special and isn’t close to what he wants.  I don’t even think I’d pay him what the chargers offered.

I really don't think he's all the good to be honest. I draft him in Fantasy every year and he puts numbers but his backup (Ekeler) puts up better numbers. Only 2 RBs in the league worth trading for are Barkley and Elliott imo

Not with the contract he’s asking for.  No premium contracts or draft picks for RBs unless the NFL changes a lot of rules.

It sucks because running back is such an awesome position but why would you ever want to play it now?  Besides the short careers and teams not wanting to pay you,  you just get abused physically.  You should play any other position but rb.
