Rumor has it Beane wants Gordon bad.

Is he being swayed by the local media (Mike Schopp) which seems to put little emphasis on the running back position?

Personally, I feel a big play on Gordon would show lack of confidence in who is under center.

Are you actually Mike Schopp?

No, if Gordon sits out past week 10 his contract will toll, and he will lose a year of accrued service toward FA. He would be on the 5th year option again in 2020.

bell wasn’t on the 5th year option. He was tagged, and didn’t sign it.

Thank you. So we will be seeing him week 10, if all else fails.

Agree he needs to suit up and play assuming no trade happens fast.

I think we can end the "probation" now.

If the Bills are unhappy with the RB position moving forward, they can easily rectify it in the 2020 draft with 9 picks as of now.

There is ZERO need to severely overpay for a RB with picks and money right now.

Makes sense for the Chargers to let Gordon seek a deal. I don’t know why anyone would let their RB run up such stats that he can insist on a franchise RB paycheck.  Running back by committee to limit yards to 800 and salary to 5. The Patriot way.

Good luck creating / spreading that rumor.  I think you should try to hook up with Dunkirk Don.

The Chargers gave Gordon's representatives the ability to seek out a trade over the weekend, and general manager Tom Telesco will not negotiate a new deal for the running back until after the season. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport previously reported that the Chargers offered Gordon a deal worth $10 million per season and would not budge.

Chargers did turn down one offer.

Reportedly Philly offered Howard and a Mid Round Pick but SD also have to retain salary. San Diego said no.

Why would they say yes?  They don't even have an NFL franchise!  ;)

If it is I will quit following this team . Thank God Beane is not that stupid.

If it is the Bills, then that would be a radical departure.

They don’t want to trade him

I know.  They are trying to sign him to a long term deal.  They dont want some team offering him 12-13.  At the same time they look like they are letting him see his "value"
