I’m not so sure the rookie is “the guy” right out of the gates like everyone seems to assume. Neither one is going to be an every down back.
Mat68 Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Heavy usage of Singeltary. Yeldon third downs, Gore spell and short yardage.
C.Biscuit97 Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 I drafted Singletary in my keeper league on Wednesday. Am I God? ?

If he were like Barkley, I would say all in. But I'm always nervous about a Darren Sproles sized RB on this league. Darren Sproles could flat out fly. Singletary not so much. Not sure where this "top end burst" narrative is coming from. 1
Rocket94 Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 This is such a good story. The old warrior and the young gun!
dollars 2 donuts Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 (edited) His knee is going to explode 5 minutes into the jets game. @JimKellyTryouts Dude, it’s good luck. It’s like break a leg in theatre. Edited August 31, 2019 by dollars 2 donuts
BullBuchanan Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 I like Singletary a lot, he has a cool style. I'm not sure I see that translating into high end RB1 numbers though. He's just too slow. 1

I'm not saying you're not a god, but I picked him up like 3 weeks ago... So that would make me a better god?... Maybe like a Thor/Loki type thing?
ColoradoBills Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Gore get the bulk of 1st downs - That's what he did well on Miami last year. Devin get's the bulk of 2nd downs. Yeldon gets the bulk of 3rd downs. That's the way I see it.

His entire college career, he just finds the end zone and he did that in the preseason. He’s also going to turn a lot of runs from 2-3 yards to 8-12 yards. I wasnt a fan of the pick, but he’s impressed.
rayray808 Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Last night when I went to bed: Devin Singletary contenders rookie - $30 sold on ebay This morning when I woke up: Devin Singletary contenders rookie - $179 sold on ebay WHAT THE HECK? Open rotoworld app - Shady cut
Chandler#81 Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Our new Travis Henry? Our new Joe Cribbs? Terry Miller? I’d gladly take any one of them in Singletary! 1

Chicken Boo Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Don't agree with the Shady move, but am excited for this young man. He has great vision. 1

I wouldn't be shocked if Gore starts and actually gets more total touches than Singletary. I would be shocked. Gore is going to get roughly 15-20% of the snaps. Singletary will get 50-60% of the snaps. The rest will be split among the other backs. 2
