In a league where pass rushers are premium , stuff like this happens I like koonce, I can see him as a late third round early fourth rounder Though he's getting a lot of hype right now so may even squeak into round two somehow Quote
JohnC Posted April 30, 2021 Posted April 30, 2021 Leipold going to Kansas. Big loss for program. https://buffalonews.com/sports/ub-football-coach-lance-leipold-heading-to-kansas/article_b51fe76c-a9b8-11eb-b554-038206112248.html Quote

May Day 10 Posted April 30, 2021 Posted April 30, 2021 Ugh. Terrible. Why would he go to that boneyard scrap heap? 1 Quote

May Day 10 Posted April 30, 2021 Posted April 30, 2021 hopefully he walks past the mummified remains of Turner Gill and that awful fat man who actually got them to win a few games. 1 Quote
Buffalo716 Posted April 30, 2021 Author Posted April 30, 2021 Terrible timing but UB is definitely an attractive destination for a P5 now 🤘🤘 Quote

LabattBlue Posted April 30, 2021 Posted April 30, 2021 (edited) Kansas is a trainwreck of a D1 program. Leipold will be tossed to the curb 3 years from now, much like fellow UB HC Turner Gill who also thought that going from UB to KU was a good next rung on the ladder. 11 years in a row with 3 wins or less. LOL Edited April 30, 2021 by BTB Quote

LOL It's why I'm pretty disgusted with Lance. Bugs out midway through the UB offseason to grab a paycheck at a terrible program. Looks so desperate. 2 Quote

Well I think that's why they're going with him.. he's a player developer.. not a recruiting Savant Kansas will never be able to recruit with the Oklahoma's and Texas's of the world.. they have to go develop under the radar recruits to turn the program around.. which is what Lance does best Edited May 1, 2021 by Buffalo716 1 Quote
streetkings01 Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Congrats to Malcolm Koonce on getting drafting! Don’t know the kid personally, but he’s from my hometown Peekskill, NY.......always heard good things about him when he was young pup playing youth football. 1 Quote

I might be wrong here but I believe he's the 2nd highest draftee at #79, behind Khalil Mack at #4, who was also drafted by the Raiders. Quote
