Today is the day! All the hard work in the spring and summer has finally paid off for these young men!

Robert Morris is the first test of the season and local star Matt Myers is getting the nod at QB

This off-season UB lost alot of players but also got a good group of freshman incoming, and a great Sophomore group

Look for UB to not air it out as much this season and go with a heavy RPO attack led by the Sophomore sensations Patterson and Marks and athletic QB Myers

I expect alot more read and midline options with some passing routes injected. Controlling the clock will be key this season

Let's root for another MAC east title

Horns Up ?

You can tell by the body language of some of the receivers that they're annoyed at all the running plays. So far 45 running plays to just 10 passing plays.

This would've been a good chance to give a young QB and young receivers a chance to try to gel and gain some confidence.

Marlyn Johnson had some really nice offers from high level P5 schools. He should've gotten more chances. Just 1 is ridiculous.

At least they're up big but they were 48.5 point favorites.

Johnson is a true freshman. TONS of true freshman don't even come in and play

They are going to be a running team this year so they need to practice what they will be doing as well

They will have to throw more vs Penn State regardless

UB was not impressive in that win vs RMU. I hope it's because Lance Leipold was playin' possum with his game plan. Because Penn State destroyed Idaho.

Idaho is a bottom feeder as well

Still UB didn't look as hit as I expected on D.... They will throw more than 10 times in happy valley

any hope of covering the spread this Saturday?

23.5 last i looked

Hard to say. On the one hand they didn't look impressive against FCS Robert Morris. On the other hand they were cycling a lot of backups all game. Also UB only had 10 passing attempts that game. Was it because freshman QB Matt Myers can't throw, or was Leipold holding his offense back so as not to give Penn State any film?

Last time they played UB was within a TD into the 4th Q and covered the spread: https://www.espn.com/college-football/game?gameId=400763506
