Destructive corporate behavior leads to widespread misery, lives lost and public resources wasted. They should be help accountable for terrorizing middle America, even though Trump blamed Mexico for this. Will this lead to law suits against other corporate wrong doers?

The ruling Monday by an Oklahoma judge that Johnson & Johnson must pay $572 million for selling opioids will be cheered by everyone who wants a scapegoat for the scourge of addiction. But the ruling could have far larger, and more dangerous, consequences by opening a vast new arena for product-liability suits.

So, what you're saying is that no illegal drugs are coming into the USA via Mexico?

Per Wall Street Journal, Johnson and Johnson had < 1% of the market in Oklahoma.  There drugs are also not the ones commonly abused.

Expect to see this reversed on appeal - a political verdict, not a lawful verdict.

I'm not an expert on the specifics of this case and I think pharma is far too often scapegoated for things a dunce could figure out are false with the use of a a pencil and 5 spare minutes.

That said, opiod abuse is a real problem and pharma is a part of it.  I don't know the full solution but because socialist morons like to blame them for everything doesn't mean they should be exoneratedfrom everything.  They have enough analytical capabilities to know they have sold far more pills than any logical scenario would support.

In this case, it's not unwarranted. They pushed the drugs and paid doctors to over-prescribe them, knowing full well that they were addictive.

Don't get me wrong, those doctors still share the blame, but 'big pharma' definitely deserves to eat this particular pile of crow.

So long as the offending doctors are brought into the equation and fined at a proportionate level, the message will be sent.  Certainly that math can be done as well.

Oddly enough, not necessarily. The Supreme Court ruled back in 1985 that the pharmaceutical companies are responsible for warning patients of the potential risks.
