Defense is great. Offense put them in bad positions and the defense produced, for the most part.

Tremaine had a tough time sticking out on the field in a consistent/empowering way last year, but this game shows how clear his improvements are and that he's poised for a big year. TJ got the better of him on a couple passes, but he was still all over the field against the run and pass

Very efficient but the lack of pass rush is frustrating.

They only rushed 4 most of the first half and were still getting pressures and penalties.

That was with no Hughes as well.

"Only" rushing 4 isn't holding back.........you gotta' get pressure with just 4.........and they didn't.........and the Lions had a lot of time to throw the ball.

Where that lack of pressure really shows up is in the red zone........that's why their red zone defense struggled last season.

Sending 4 isn't blitzing, and thus "Holding Back" seems applicable.

Watching the first drive that we gave up a touchdown on we used a lot of man defense and it failed. Not sure if they were experimenting but building a zone team with those type of players and having them run man is asking for trouble.

Defense didn’t seem that great to me last night, to be honest.

It was a bit of bend don’t break— Stafford was able to complete a lot of passes and move them up and down the field quite a bit. The D then made some key 3rd down stops, but a few of them were due to Lions receivers dropping the ball.

The run defense was great, but we lost track of Hockenson via pass in the second quarter and surrendered a TD on a rub/pick route. (Milano)

I saw Darryl Johnson playing some with the first unit in the first quarter, nice to see they gave him some oportunities, Mike Love played some in the second quarter at RDE. They are given chances to make the roster.

Wallace needs to learn how to tackle, he could have hurt his ribs on that "tackle attempt" on a TE. Otherwise he had a superb recovery that prevented a sure TD.

The pass rush wasn't there except on a 4th down play that we were able to pressure Stafford. (turnover on downs)
