Bill from NYC Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Jennings will be franchised if there is no deal by and PW will probably be allowed to leave. That is why drafted Anderson. Unfortunately, that is the reality of today's NFL. 22208 Jennings will NOT be carried as a "franchise player" next season, because the cost would approach 8 mil per season. It is over 7 mil in 04. They might apply it as a bargaining ploy, but TD will not ever give that kind of guaranteed money to Jonas Jennings for 1 season imo.
Rico Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Can't wait for the "WTF is wrong with TD for overpaying Schobel" crowd to start chiming in. Wanna be GMs... 22125 WTF is wrong with TD for overpaying Schobel? Somewhere in heaven, John Butler is looking down at TD & smiling. Still though, a lot less $$$ than Wistrom got... Hopefully, AS will bring his game up a few levels & become a complete DE.

ndmanley Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Agreed, I think JJ's gone for sure now after this year. 22291 I disagree but you make a good point. There is only so much money to go around.
drnykterstein Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 suck suck suck, did we sign that idiot for even longer. dang. schobel is not good, he get most of his sack when the QB trips over his own feet and falls down and schobel is the first one in to touch himon the ground. sometime this year you will all be complaining about how bad schobel sucks. well too bad this is what you wanted so you get what you deserve.
LabattBlue Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Ol' Whitey is using this as a motivating tool in order to show his young "high motor" DE's(Kelsay & Denney), how an accomplished "high motor" DE(Schobel) can hit the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Keep those motors runnin'!!!!!
OnTheRocks Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Good job TD, Lenny P. 22110 This is very good news!
