FYI, the sportsbook at del Lago Casino, between Rochester and Syracuse, Exit 41 off 90, is opening at noon this Friday 8/23. I'm planning on stopping by to see what kind of wagers I'll be able to place on the Bills.  The sportsbook is being run by DraftKings.  Special guest is supposed to be Donavan McNabb.

i saw that and would love to check it out.  it's just too convenient not to.

Coming from Roch it's def more convenient than going to TS. I would love them to put one in Finger Lakes. Then you're talking convenient.

i really like the scene at turning stone, (especially with all of the live music) but del Lago is just so close.  on top of that, i've never actually been there.  If sports betting ever comes to farmington, game on.

I would much rather go to TS for the complete casino experience. Been to Del Lago a few times and other than being brand new, it didn't impress me much at all. They never have enough tables open so you have to wait or cram into a full table. Although I'm sure I'll be there for some sports wagering soon enough.

I’ve heard Del Lago was in the red big time. Let’s hope this sports book can turn the tide for them eh?

Still going to gamble the old fashioned way and not throw money at NFL owners who, on top of being disgustingly wealthy through antitrust exemptions and local corporate welfare, fought against legal gamble for years until they figured out a way to profit from it. F them. Keep your neighborhood bookie in business and also find the pathway to overseas books.

The sports books are paying the owners too?

How many current owners got disgustingly wealthy through antitrust exemptions an local corporate welfare?

I believe the sportsbook at Turning Stone opened Aug 1st. Theirs is run by Caesars.

....delLago planning and renovations put them well behind Turning Stone......TS was going to beat them by design as the competition continues...........

I would never rob anyone of their delusions---they are the engine that drives this board!

Tom Wilmot is totally out of the picture so current ownership may feel they have a freer hand.  Or looking at it another way current ownership does not have to share the profits with any minority owner.

Tioga Downs was far ahead of them. Can bet just about everything. I bet Bills over 6.5 and other futures

They definitely aren't doing well there. I've been there on wknds where at least half the tables weren't open. Hopefully the sportsbook can turn them around.

It’s what the states get for being greedy.

Idiots/Feds banned legit online poker sites like Pokerstars, and effectively killed the “poker boom”.

Now poker rooms have closed across the country, and while they were never a cash cow themselves for casinos, it got a lot of people in the doors.  People played online and wanted to go experience “the real thing”, the rush of shoving there chips in the pot.

Tycoons like senile Sheldon Adelson slaughtered the golden goose thinking it was taking money from brick and mortars without realizing that accessibility to the product was the driving force to get people in their doors.
