I am seeing someone right now who came over yesterday in a jacket.  I opened the door and said "you know were in Atlanta and it's 94 degrees outside".  

She said "yeah but I spend most of the time inside your place".

We supercool at night and then turn it completely off during peak hours (3-8pm). We use much less energy that way. It's a plan that's encouraged by the energy company to reduce cost.

these settings are summer related

 

fall/winter/spring don't even need a/c really. 

 

edit: ceiling fans help to keep the cool air circulating.

This would basically render my AC unit superfluous—I mean really, what’s the point at that point? Might as well keep the windows open 24/7. At least then an occasional breeze may, just may, flutter through. How about we match the temps of Congress’ Thermostats instead?
