You can't get a water boy for that in today's NFL.

I remember Brett Favre saying “it’s not MY job to teach him how to play.” I understand that to some degree, but I can also see how a high quality individual will do everything possible to make the team better. Want to make the playoffs? What if they get hurt and sit for 3 games? This tells you something about the, ummmm.....character stuff we hear about. i might suggest , conceptually the statement embodies what the pronoun "Team" actually means. whether a bit fluff or not. Lee Smith was a team first guy last go around. he put it out there on the field for sure. Sounds like he has grown into a right minded Veteran player since then ? Glad to have him back, and bit more so with some well chosen words 2

And was fairly Noble actually. we all need a little Lee Smith and a good fit in MCBeanes Bills 1 1

Which is why getting pointers from one of the best blocking TE's is a good idea. And again it doesn't preclude Sweeney from developing as a pass catcher. 1

Football player right there
JerseyBills Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 I think Knox/Sweeney is going to be a great duo. Throw in Kroft and that's 3 legit options if the rookies progress how I envision. 1 1

I really like everything I've seen from Sweeney. A late round TE who ends up a bonafide threat would be nothing new. I hated the Smith signing and still do, but it is what it is. 1
Juice_32 Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 I respect anyone who takes this approach. Obviously this guy is solid in the locker room. I was surprised when they brought him back, but it does make some sense considering they drafted 2 TE's. If he can rub off on Knox and Sweeney, it was worth it.
