White Linen Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 I'm not so sure he's just a camp body. He's been reasonably productive in the NFL. I think he's got a shot at making the team as a back up and special teams player.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Name of the game on this tream is decent depth.

Because we are waiting for the news that Bodine has been released too. After that there won't be dancing in the streets, there will be an *****.

The problem is this time of the year, most of the rocks and dirt have already been thoroughly sifted. You may find a nugget, but if you do that means you're really lucky.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 I find it hard to fit him in on the 53, unless the keep 5 DEs, which isn’t all that likely
John from Riverside Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 This is actually a good player not a star but excellent depth 2
DallasMac Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Hook em. Probably won't make final roster but I love when they sign Longhorns.

frostbitmic Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 Apparently this guy is also a team leader and a strong locker room presence. In other words, a McDermott type of guy. If he is healthy he has a solid chance of making this roster. 1
RiotAct Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 what happens when you have 53 “strong locker room presences” in the same locker room?????

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday morning that the Chicago Bears are releasing linebacker Sam Acho, per a source informed of the decision. The team later announced that it was official. The 30-year-old linebacker and special teamer spent the past four years in Chicago after playing his first four seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. A locker-room leader well-liked by teammates and coaches in Chicago, Acho played just four games in 2018 before landing on injured reserve with a torn pectoral muscle. He played just 25 defensive snaps and 36 special teams snaps last year, per Next Gen Stats. In 2017, Acho started 12 games and compiled 45 tackles and three sacks. Cutting Acho saves the cap-strapped Bears $2.125 million on the salary cap. Acho isn't the first veteran to see his tenure cut short as a cap-saving maneuver. He won't be the last this week either. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001021122/article/roundup-bears-cut-lb-sam-acho-after-four-seasons i think he makes the final roster 1

Or the really positive reviews for Love and Johnson have been overblown? Finding a trade partner for Lawson when he’s been effective and serves a role would be dumb unless a team overpays and they won’t. Sam Acho isn’t going to come in and replace him.
