He forgot the snap where Oliver drove him into Brissett. Only 11 snaps , Bills know he's a beast . Man he's super quick . Special player, you can instantly tell. Brings it every play

Heck of a draw to get Q Nelson. He is hands down an all pro guard with generational talent as well

It was pre season but you know Nelson isn't going easy

Good game to build on for Oliver... As I have been saying for a year about Oliver if there is one thing he needs to work on it's his hands with a counter move

What to me stood out aside from his explosiveness is how he anchored himself on those double teams and didnt get wiped out of the play.  In fact he actually made a tackle after a double team with Q involved, held his ground and still made the tackle at around the line of scrimmage.

That’s a very good sign of things to come for Oliver. Loved the splitting between the pulling olinemen. That show instincts, physicality and speed. The three things a great dlineman needs.

He has a lot of upside.  If he develops good film and practice habits to add smarts to his ability he has the opportunity to be among the best ever at his craft.

This guy in unlistenable. Holy hell. Guys like this is what drove me away from TV commentating. Can anyone who covers the NFL speak like a professional, use a player's actual name (how many times can you try to be cool and hip as a dorky suburban white guy and say Big Q?), stop screaming and yelling, avoid hyperbole, and have an actual informed conversation instead of a slang-ridden, hip-hop rap take? These idiots could take some lessons from anyone cover the English Premier League, who are technically superior to any of the jokers covering the NFL.

“Look at big Q finishing Ed Oliver” Oliver sheds the block and makes the tackle with star

That was an odd statement.  He stood his ground, shed the block and assisted on the tackle at the line of scrimmage.  In which then Q piled on top after the tackle.

Wait, now Nelson is a “generational talent”?

Remains to be seen, but prior to the draft he was talked about being one and as a rookie he earned 1st team AP All-Pro honors, so he's on the right track.  And that Oliver was going up against the best OG in the NFL was the takeaway.

Nelson is going to be an all-pro for the next decade or so starting off with his rookie year.  He was a near top of the draft selection who is playing up to his billing. Right now he is arguably the best guard in the game. He is a generational talent and a likely HOF player.

How much football do you have to watch to determine a rookie O lineman (a Guard, no less) on a team outside of your division is better than all others in the NFL at his position AND better than nearly every player who has ever played that position in the games history?

Add leverage, that one can help set him apart.

Almost every football analyst who covers the NFL has stated that right now he is the best guard in the game.. As a rookie he played at an all-pro level. I'm confident that he will be an all pro for the next decade or so.
