Royale with Cheese Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I'm guessing Sam Young is out now. I don't think he was very good at all when he was here.... 1

C.Biscuit97 Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 (edited) Always great for a local kid to get his shot. He also has position versatility, which helps. I had no idea The Little Irish had a player at ND. Aquinas is a great high school program. Edited August 6, 2019 by C.Biscuit97 1
Don Otreply Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 A local kid, hope he does well. Go Bills!!! 1
Your Brown Eye Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Great to see a local product, hopefully he makes it! I remember watching him dominate in HS
thebandit27 Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 He was a very good DLman at ND; not sure if he's been any good as an OT

Johnny Hammersticks Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Champion..... Ah never mind. Good for the local kid.

Logic Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I wonder what the signing of a guy like Jones vs, say, Sam Young, who has started a bunch of games in the NFL, means. Does it mean that they have faith in Connor McDermott or De'ondre Wesley to be a capable swing tackle? Does it mean that they envision Ford at RT once the injured guards return, which will push Nsekhe back to swing, thus not necessitating any major additions at tackle? I can't help but read into what this signing might mean...

Sam Young is a more known commodity, but when you are rolling the dice on a guy who most likely won't make the team, it is worth gambling on upside.
