This is the 2nd clip I’ve watched where Shady was teasing Beasley about his size.

I’m sure he’s just having fun, but personally, I thought Shady came off as kind of a dick in both clips (but it’s hard to really judge without knowing what their relationship is like and how they usually interact, etc.)

I'm assuming (but I don't know, so sorry if I'm wrong) you have absolutely no idea what sort of conversations take place among professional athlete teammates.  There is nothing negative or out of the ordinary about that interaction.

Do I really need to say this - this was not an NFL game. The 5 TD's was part of practice stats. Portions of those plays are where you want a TD on nearly every pass. So its all relative. Some other guy could have been 17-19 for 109 yds and 13 TD's, so yes 5 TD's could be a negative...in practice.

Not true. Either in the you want a TD on every pass ( any more than you normally do) and especially 13 TDs in 19 passes. That's more outrageous than commenting on the 5. Granted, stats in practice is stupid, sure. But the posters were commenting that if you're going to print stats in practice to show how poorly Josh was playing today, why don't you mention the 5 TDs in those stats.

Man, I knew that Tremaine has some grown ass arm length, but that is ridiculous.

Looks a little twiggy... he should grab a garbage plate, or three, while in Rochester ???

Man,

Brown

Beasley

Jones

Foster

Roberts

McCloud

Isn’t a terrible group.

I gotta say though, I’m still hesitant with McCloud over McKenzie... McKenzie showed some stuff in real games, McCloud hasn’t.

Top 3 things to know from Day 7 at Bills training camp

1. Ed Oliver flashes

"Early in the red zone period, Oliver blew up a pair of linemen to penetrate into the backfield and force Matt Barkley off his spot. Rookie DE Darryl Johnson got the QB pressure on the play to force an incompletion.

Two plays later Oliver beat his lineman in a one-on-one situation and got pressure on Josh Allen before he wanted to get rid of the ball and hurried him into an incompletion.

A series later, Oliver had his play of the day. He used a stab move and knocked the opposing offensive lineman off balance sending him into the center’s legs who also fell on the play and affected the other guard who stumbled as a domino effect was unfolding. The play was effectively blown up from Oliver all on his own.

Finally, late in practice, Oliver again won at the line of scrimmage and forced Josh Allen into a checkdown throw to Cole Beasley for a minimal gain.

“I’m looking at a bruise on my calf from Ed Oliver, so I know he’s been really good,” said Josh Allen. “Just the aggressiveness he brings to the line obviously.”

For most of the practice Oliver lined up next to Shaq Lawson, who was the starting defensive end with Jerry Hughes sidelined by an ankle injury. The tackle-end tandem proved to be a headache no matter who lined up against them."

McCloud was awful last year. Glad to see him improving this camp but I still don't trust him.

No, you didn't need to say it. They were obviously being tongue-in-cheek.

As long as we don't keep McKittrick it's all good.

This is getting me overly excited for Oliver, and I feel like an absolute sucker.  Every year. Every year I tell myself I will not get excited over training camp.  But, here I am. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

I'm not in camp, so I really can't say anything definitive. But I will say this:

Camp isnt games,  and preseason games aren't regular season games, so I'm not getting excited about anyone yet.

It seems like the Bills have a lot of depth.  We will find out in a couple of months whether they have 22 guys who can make plays when real bullets are flying.

Ford was starting and now he isnt.  Oliver wasn't  starting and now he is.  Ray Ray is flashing.  Josh is good, then not so much.

I can wait.

I do this too.

But it’s a good thing IMO. I have always said that when I can no longer get hopeful about the Bills/Sabres, that will be the day I stop following them. What’s the point in watching if you don’t have any hope, right? lol

And I’d much rather be hopeful and overly optimistic at times than constantly negative.

Its funny: While most Bills fans' attention has been on Duke Williams and David Sills at the WR position, two guys NO ONE was paying attention to or cared about or expected anything from -- McCloud and Roberts -- have been turning heads.

You just never know.

Roberts contributing in the passing game is awesome, because as the primary kick returner, his roster spot was pretty much guaranteed. There have been plenty of return specialists over the years (the majority, I'd say), who don't contribute at all on offense. Roberts doing so would just be great.

As for McCloud, well...everybody who thought he'd come into year two bulked up, quicker, with better technique, and ready to steal a roster spot, raise your hand. Nobody? That's what I thought.

Good points. What does excite me about what's been happening is the competition. I was definitely one of those who dismissed Ray Ray. And McKenzie.

And this takes us back, again, to Alpha's prediction about Zay Jones. If Beane wants to deal someone this summer, two guys coming out of the pack of after thoughts make it possible that Foster or Zay get dealt for a pick.

Whatever happens, it's nice to think that there are multiple makers fighting for spots.

Bills WR Duke Williams: 'Always a chip on my shoulder'

“I’ve been dogged before. I’ve been down. I’ve been criticized my whole life,” Williams told the Buffalo News. “There’s always a chip on my shoulder.”

Despite his shortcomings previously in the NFL, Williams comes to the Bills having righted the ship, it appears. He did’t just have a successful CFL spell, Williams exploded in 2018, recording 88 receptions for 1,359 receiving yards, leading the league in receiving for Edmonton.

Williams previously said he’s not going to take things for granted with the Bills, but currently he has an uphill battle. Along with the prior mentioned top-four targets, the Bills appear to like other players such as Andre Roberts, Ray-Ray McCloud and Isaiah McKenzie a little more thus far through camp.

However, Williams is a physical target and there simply isn’t as much physicality during football practices anymore. Williams will have to prove his abilities when the pads and energy is really on during preseason action. The 25-year-old said he’s fine with that and at all worried just yet.
