I didn’t realize how valuable Spanish would be instead. A couple years ago I got on Duolingo online and got back up to 35% fluent (according to them) fairly easily. French came back pretty quickly, then I quit because I’d never use it, only to lose it again. I should have started from scratch with Spanish! I could use Spanish regularly around town, and we’re leaving for Spain late this month. Maybe I’ll start over and hope to learn enough to just not be too rude. 1
