Ittakestime Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Sirles was good. Wonder if this is a way to re-sign him later on.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Likely wouldn't have made the roster anyways 1

You can, it just has to be after a certain point. I'm not sure the exact rule, but they were going to resign Rod Streater a few ago, then traded for Kelvin Bigman

TPS Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 In a way, it’s good he left with the injury settlement rather than getting cut. He helped recruit Long, and it would’ve sucked for him to have long make in his stead.
The Wiz Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Back to his woodworking now that his rumspringa is over. 1

There is a rule in place that the team (agreeing to a settlement) can’t resign that player until a minimum of six weeks passes following the amount of weeks of the initial settlement. So for our MCL example, the team cannot resign that player for the first eleven weeks. For a player who did a three week/3 game settlement, his team can’t sign him back until after week nine. However, the player is free to sign with another team. https://nationalfootballpost.com/what-is-an-injury-settlement/ 3 2

He couldn't crack a bad O Line last year; and when asked to step in at both tackle and guard, he played poorly. He wasn't going to make the team. 2

He was versatile, I suppose... But, below average at two, or more positions is still not good. Edited August 1, 2019 by Rocky Landing

Buffalo Barbarian Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Good for him, as he wasn't making this team anyway.

1st Ammendment NoMas Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 He was going to get cut. For him this is probably best case scenario. He gets some walking money.
