The Tomcat Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 In the end, who will be the best QB of the class of 2004? Philip Rivers 6% 765 votes Eli Manning 15% 1889 votes Ben Roethlisberger 32% 3977 votes J.P. Losman 46% 5740 votes Total: 12371 votes
jester43 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 how could anyone who wasn't a bills fan pick jp over ben? the guy was the toast of the nfl last year!
Gavin in Va Beach Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 how could anyone who wasn't a bills fan pick jp over ben? the guy was the toast of the nfl last year! 295356 It's easier to pronounce his name?
duey Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 That's pretty amazing. As excited as I am about the JP-era, it's all speculation at this point. At least Ben has shown his stuff on the NFL field.
TheManTheMythTheLegend Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 I'm shocked JP is winning in that poll over Roethlisbe... whatever, But my shock doesn't come from his performance. If any of you watch him last year, he was consistantly mediocre. Pittsburgh's defense won as many if not more games than their Offense, and even when the offense was hitting on all cylanders, it wasn't all because of "Big Ben"... Yes, he won, and won consistantly, but his success was due to the definition of team effort.
loadofmularkey Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 BUT BUT BUT...didn't those 13,000+ voters see JP's performance against the Pats on Sunday night?? Or are they just unlike a certain band of Bills fans who believe those three snaps are indicative of how the rest of his career is going to play out?
gantrules Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 "Consistently mediocre" when his number one/two reciever missed half of the season and leading his team to a 15-1 record while having the third highest QB rating in the AFC? Not bad for a rookie. My vote goes to Roth.
pkwwjd Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Have the Stillers fans even voted yet? 295359 They don't have electricity in their hunting shacks, so we have to wait 'til they come back home.
Josh Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 The people over at the BuffaloBills.com board had quite a few topics on this poll when it was first created...and Losman was in 4th behind Rivers. Once the topics got more attention, more and more people started voting. In fact, some admitted voting 150 times or whatever for JP. It's just a bunch of fans voting over and over and over...there is no chance in hell, unfortunatly, that non-Bills fans would put JP above Ben or Eli. I'll admit though, I have voted for Losman on that poll about 10-15 times.
Alaska Darin Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 I'll admit though, I have voted for Losman on that poll about 10-15 times. 295463 That'll definitely help JP become a better player. Rock on!
ajzepp Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 I was impressed with what Big Ben did as a rookie, but at the same time I think he'll be more of a Bledsoe than he will a Marino. On the other hand, I think JP has the most upside of any QB taken last year. I am definitely surprised that JP has over 40% of the vote, though.
PTS Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 SI QB 2004 draft pollScroll to the bottom. 295200 I'm hereby announcing that JP should be the next Pope. Pope JP III.
