plenzmd1 Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Man, this man might not be a great coach anymore, or then again he might..but man if we get 4 episodes of this!!! 7
machine gun kelly Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 You know I never watched hard knocks as I had Direct tv for the ticket, and didn’t want another cost, but moved to a place where I have to use Spectrum so I thought no I’ll watch this year. Just seeing Gruden for 7 years in Tampa he’s not as good as his hype, but he’s always entertaining. Funny as quite a few years ago my buddy and I coached our flag football team against him twice. We won one, and lost one. He was gracious so both times so good with the kids. Thanks for the clip. From the clip it sounds like this airs on Friday nights so will have to watch the first one on demand. Have a good day guys. 1

whatdrought Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 MLK's Dream speech < One Chuckie Boi's dream speech. All kidding aside, it's actually a pretty good speech... Not sure he should be saying that to Richie Incognito though: "In other news, a NFL lineman was arrested for running naked through a Las Vagas casino with a baseball bat yelling 'kill Dreams!! Me Nightmare!!'" 8
Nextmanup Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 I have no doubt that this guy's real life persona is totally different to his on-air persona. When he was doing color on Monday nights, it was all happy, fuzzy, warm, positivity. "I just love this kid. He's such a hard worker with athleticism off the charts man!" and so on. You know that's a freaking act. He's probably swearing like a maniac behind closed doors trying to figure out how to turn his ***** team into something decent. And when it comes to silly "pep talks" of this type in the clip, do these NFL coaches actually think that crap adds to a different outcome on the field? It's funny how much these guys think their job is to "smooth talk" their players, one way or the other, into playing at their top level of performance. It all adds up to zero. What works is effective scheming, planning, and above all, execution on the field.

MJS Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 I guess we shouldn't be surprised when all his players start backstabbing each other. 1 1
Guest K-GunJimKelly12 Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 I love Gruden, I hope he's successful there.
Mister Defense Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 We should all be extremely grateful that Beane and McDermott would NEVER even consider being on that drama creating, team dividing spectacle. I think this will be the case for as long as they are in Buffalo.
White Linen Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 That clip didn't make any sense. I'm into making sense. 1 1
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Are you sure the Raiders couldn’t benefit from some ‘Brandon wisdom’ in the front office?
MtlBillsFan Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 I've always like Gruden. The TV guy and the coach.
Doc Brown Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 I have a dream that we'll lose to the Raiders in the AFC Championship game.

eball Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 He's such a complete Richard Noggin. What a doosh. Screw that "taking away someone's dreams" b.s. I guarantee you a good number of guys listening to that are thinking to themselves "this guy is crazy." That said, I'll totally watch this season. It'll be a train wreck. 1 1 1

Heitz Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Since the Im WYTS thread got closed down, I’ll just leave this here: https://deadspin.com/why-your-team-sucks-2019-oakland-raiders-1836667319 One of the best so far, though, it ain’t hard to trash da Raiders... 1
