Fair enough. What’s your biggest concern?

Backup long snapper.

But seriously it’s allen. Living and dying by the reports of him.

D end opposite Hughes big concern for me.

Right tackle, guard spot.

My opinion on Josh isn’t popular on either side of extremes, but I’m confident he’ll be an outstanding QB for us for many seasons -starting in 2022. His growth at the position was legendarily stunted from high school through the colleges he played for. That’s hard to make up for at this level. Especially when considering he only had 5+ hours total of actual play last season and no more than 8 hours in any non-playoff season (@ avg. 30 minutes TOP/game). He survived a ‘thrown to the wolves rookie campaign’ and grew exponentially from the experience. There’s just so much here to be enamored with while still learning how to play the position at comparatively his sophomore college year. We anointed Kelly as God on Opening Day in ‘86, yet it took a couple years to hone his game while starring at a major college and ‘semi-pro’ ball prior. This will take time but I believe he cares enough to be the very best he can -and he’ll achieve greatness.

My biggest concern this season is a shallow one. Our schedule is easier up front than the back half, but we still won’t know who we are or play well enough to win some games we should. Regardless of playoff potential, if Josh improves his play markedly from Nov through Dec, the 3 year learning curve I expect could be reduced 1 season.

Specifics? As someone who pours mucho vino for the PSE organization and teams, I'm always interested in what they (top to bottom) get turned onto for wine.

LaFontaine, for example, was a big Bordeaux guy (which made for an interesting dynamic with Terry Pegula, who knows his Left Bank chateaus).

Sounds like a cool gig.  I'd love to take a peak into Terry's cellar.

Mostly Cal cabs.  A few large format bottles of your usual suspects like Caymus.  Think there was a Far Niente.

Beasley wants the ball every time, like all WR's should.

Ok And?  He gets open he gets the ball. Easy

I've always wondered how trading players, the surprises especially get done?

Darby and Watkins were surprises to us and fans...I remember the texts and jaw dropped.  I have a hard time believing it was at random.

What and how did the conversation start?  Did the Eagles and Rams (and other FO) know the Bills were going through a rebuild and started calling Beane?  Did Beane know that Darby wasn't a great fit for zone coverage...he started putting feelers out there?  He knew Watkins wasn't going to sign here long term and put feelers out?

All offseason, I thought trading McCoy was absurd.  But now, especially after this morning, I will not be shocked now if he's dealt.  I don't think he will if I had to put money on it today but wouldn't put too much down.  Beane's non-committal talk speaks volumes....

Beane answered a lot of your questions in the PC after those trades. He wasn't actively trying to trade either guy. The teams called him, he didn't call them. If a team offers good value, he feels he has to consider it.

And he made it very very clear that he absolutely considered signability and salary cap concerns as a major factor.

I'd disagree with those who say Beane has been non-committal about Shady. IMO they've been very positive about him. They've said he's the number one, they've said they want him here. They've said they think he's got a lot left.

They're not going to say anyone's untouchable, because you never know what value will be offered. He says he doesn't even like the word "untouchable." There are a few guys who are in practical terms untouchable because we're going to value them higher than anyone would give for them. Shady isn't one of those guys but I think they fully expect him to be here this year ... subject to competition and to the fact that nearly anyone's available if the offer's good enough.

Draft position.

Hockenson can block like a lineman and has great hands. I dont expect Knox to be that kind of blocker but hopefully he catch like Gronk.

That’s 2 WRs in 2 days the G-men have lost. Shepherd broke his thumb yesterday.

Sad news, on one hand, but perhaps an opportunity to unload some guys who won't make the team for future picks ?
