Yeah - it was an interesting watch. Homerism or not....it is refreshing to hear someone who works closely with other QBs (especially Darnold) really hype up Allen. The season can not get here fast enough!!

Great to hear him say he uses Barkley’s below average arm to show Josh how ‘touch’ is more important for accuracy than a bullet and they worked on this throughout the off season.

I would have taken Darnold had he been available. I thought it was very interesting that he didn’t balance that talk a little more, knowing he worked with both and it would get back to them. Maybe there’s some balancing talk I missed? All things considered, encouraging stuff!

It was a much longer convo as he was a guest on GMF. Here, he’s answering ‘who’s the most intriguing of his disciples’. At the Draft, I didn’t have a dog in the fight, I just wanted whoever we selected to finally be the Answer.

I'm concerned about Allen's anticipation. In Embedded, you see Beasley telling him to throw with anticipation, and Allen protests, saying he'll put it on Beasley as soon as he turns (in other words, "My arm is so strong I don't have to worry about anticipation"). Not a great sign.

Throwing with anticipation will come with familiarity and trust. When Allen can know what his guys are going to do, how they run their routes, the nuances about their game, then he will trust them to throw the ball earlier. He has to build that chemistry with all of the new guys. You could already see him doing it with Zay and Foster toward the end of the year.

Dear God man... Stop with this crap. Two different scenarios, one is Matt and then later Beasley is talking about a route where the ball is supposed to be on him the second he turns around. I hate when people troll for controversy.

Yes just watched it again and you basically made this whole BS up. Good job.

Yea he started with Darnold and Mayfield are exciting... Josh is intruging. I took that the other way from you. I took him as inferring you can take Darnold and Mayfield to the bank. Josh is the most intuging because the talent level is high, but the situation last year was bad and now the situation is a bit better (the line, Beasley Ed Oliver upgrading the D and Singletary) there is a chance Josh could make good on the potential.

I might be totally wrong but my inference was - bank those other two... they are gonna be good. Josh Allen is still a question but he could be not just good but great.

I see your point. The other 2 had great college programs and coaching Josh didn’t have. Allen’s arm strength is solely what he had to offer and with near zero help in quality coaching. It appears he knows this too and is willing to learn. He’s just a couple years behind the other two in quality coaching. I’m hopeful his cannon and unreal running skills will bode us well while he completes his apprenticeship for a couple more years..

If Blog's characterization of the conversation is accurate (I couldn't make out what Beasley said) then it is a tad concerning for me as well.  I caught the "I'll put it on your chest" part, but that's really not a good answer, is it? It's a defensive response and it's the wrong answer.

Loved Palmer's words.  We do know that the kid wants to work, wants to succeed and he's happy to do it in Buffalo.  Hopefully the response to Beasley was just a bit of a defensive mechanism kicking in.

Yea that's what I took away as well. He's the most intriguing of the 3 because he could be really great if he puts it all together.

Exactly right.  Palmer understands that Josh Allen has perhaps the most impressive physical characteristics of any QB in the league, but he's behind the 8-ball in terms of experience and "big time" coaching.  It's all about how quickly (or if) he develops.  What keeps me optimistic is feeling pretty confident that Josh is also a really smart and competitive guy who wants to be great and will work at it.

We can't take away anything from what Allen says in that clip, one way or the other. He says, "Once you turn, I'm going to put it right on your body." We can hardly make out anything Beasley says and have no idea what the conversation was leading up to it.  Kind of pointless to analyze a statement with no context to it.

I certainly cannot and you too apparently which is why I said "if accurate" regarding the conversation.  @The Bills Blog is basically quoting the conversation so we have to assume that she/he was able to make out what was said.

What can be heard in the clip is pretty clear and I doubt @The Bills Blog can hear anything in it that the rest of us cannot. There is simply not enough there to put the statements in any real context.

My point was that, without context, any analysis is nothing more than pure speculation - and why would anyone choose to speculate that it is something to be concerned about?
