Free speech is free speech, on any platform. Across any playing field you put it on.

Not really... The First Amendment protects you from the government in almost all instances, however, it does not protect you from private individuals or enterprises and if they want to get rid of you.

I'm not for or against it, but Twitter banning OJ's account would be like any forum banning a member. They are just not going to allow you to use their platform.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

A publicity stunt to remind people he still has a show the last decade?

The guy just had an hour long special on CNN and a book come out that's selling well...

You can say that, but the facts don't support it.

CNN? A book? How about a music CD as well so he can dominate in severely declining media that once meant something to people now over 50?

paul McCartney, do you remember writing and recording  these songs (Yesterday, then Hey Jude) , and did you have sexual feelings toward John Lennon?

You are so ridiculous.  The McCartney interview was absolutely amazing!  He is widely regarded as one of the best interviewers ever.  Seriously, what is your beef with Howard?

Okay, two votes for the Marci Turk Era as the pinnacle of the show.

I'm not sure what he's supposed to do? Post pics of himself on IG?

You sound like a rather unworldly person.

Books are bad?

I loved 90s era Stern as much as anyone, but putting aside the current Marci Turk influence,  I'd find it incredibly sad, repetitive and boring if the show was still about an endless parade of porn stars, strippers and lesbians and a Howard who uses guests as props instead of seriously interviewing them.

No mental gymnastics involved, the topic was free speech, you don't understand the laws pertaining to free speech and you continually demonstrate that fact.  Start swearing on the this site and see how long you last. You can get banned and the administrators have every right to do so.  I understand your point, but I don't think you totally get how it works.

That's not entirely true.

Ok I'll give it a shot.  ***** ***** headed mother ***** #######!!

You don't like his Tweets or him in general?  Don't follow him.  Ron's sister said his account is hard to stomach.  Why are you even reading it?

Are you expecting to communicate with Howard Stern in this thread?

Huh?

Howard was the one to offer the opinion that OJ should be banned from Twitter, not Kim Goldman.  OJ is everywhere...no way Kim can completely avoid him.  She stated that she doesn’t avoid him, as that would not be healthy for her (paraphrasing).  In fact, she wanted to speak to him in person while he was in prison, but OJ balked as she refused to sign a NDA.  Of course anything OJ related is unsettling to her.

So Stern calling for OJ to be banned from Twitter will essentially accomplish nothing and he was pandering to his guest?  I didn't really read much about this and didn't watch the video.

Hard to tell what his intent was.  He also stated that OJ should have received the death penalty, but to me it seemed less serious and more satirical.  Since OJ has emerged on Twitter, however, Howard has been commenting regularly about how he thinks OJ is being a jackass and should just stay out of the public eye.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion...I suppose.

So Stern is saying someone found not guilty should be put to death?

No.  I believe, IIRC, that he posed a hypothetical question to Kim about IF OJ was found guilty...would she be in favor of the death penalty for him?  She said she was a proponent of the death penalty.

getting back on topic ...

The big news at WGR-AM during the Bills season is that veteran host Howard Simon won’t be involved in the station’s pregame show.

Inquiring minds wanted to know what that is all about.

Simon says it was his call.

“It was my idea,” said Simon in a telephone interview “It is a grind. My bosses were really cool about it. I asked to get off the pregame. They were really receptive to it. It was really nice of them.”

Is the topic about any Howard?  Anything new with Howard Cosell?
