One night a jerk in a forklift had the forks two feet off the ground in the path of my right turn on the road. A total jackass looking for trouble.

i would be serving a life sentence right now if my car hit that.

Appears they grow good rednecks in Ohio. Maybe @AiO, @YoloinOhio @Cripple Creek Can attest to this personally

I went to college in Cincinnati. Our late night post-bar, pre-going to bed diner had an interesting mix of people. They had to close briefly after a guy saw his wife in a booth with another guy after the bars closed. He pulled into the adjacent parking lot.....and rammed into the exterior wall of the diner with his pickup until he crashed thru into their booth. Ahh, good times! ?

Cincinnati is separated only by a river from Kentucky.

And it’s a nasty, muddy river. I was in a Thursday night dart league in college. All over Cincy and norther KY. I learned a couple things. First, the average number of teeth in the opponents head was lower south of the river. Second, Friday morning classes were optional, depending upon how the night before went. That was the year I learned that anything with a worm at the bottom was just as bad as it seemed.

I lived in Cincinnati for a summer while doing an internship.  I remember how Cindy natives proudly proclaimed that nudbars and pornography was not allowed in their city.  Yet, across the bridge was all that you could stand.  It was a stupid claim.  I do miss 5 way chili though, yummy stuff.

I went to Xavier. A couple years before I got there they (the Jesuit University) tried to show Last Tango In Paris. The silly conservative city came in and confiscated that wicked pornography. That was right around the same time Mayor Jerry Springer got caught paying a hooker with a personal check. Go figure!

As for the chili, I NEVER got drunk enough to enjoy that, and I never will. Cinnamon does not belong in chili. I’m quite fond of and proud of my own chili, but to each their own.

If you set aside the idea that it is chili you will find it to be good comfort food.  I agree completely that it is not chili, nor is it spaghetti sauce.  It’s unique for sure.

But there are SO MANY OTHER options to experience explosive diarrhea!

If in Cincy, go to Zips for chili and a Zip Burger. That just might be my last meal, if given the choice.

If you want explosive diarrhea try Mexican Chili.

I had a bowl at a pot luck thinking it was regular chili and by the time the night was over I thought I ate some of my special Ex-Lax Brownies.

I won't speak for all of Ohio but we have plenty of rednecks in Central Ohio...Southern Ohio seems to have more than their fair share...

And I LOVE Skyline Chili.
