    • Drive on by, gawking a little in the process but never stop

    • Stop and pick up what you can, then deliver to nearest police station or other law enforcement

I've dreamed about finding several hundred dollars in the parking lot of Batavia Downs or Del Lago but it would be my luck there would be a security cam operating there and the money would belong to a drug dealer.  I turned in nearly 400 dollars that was laying in the entrance to a Wegman's about a decade ago.  Stupid for somebody not to secure it better but my gut told me it belonged to someone who sorely needed it.  As to the incident in question I'd let it go as your car might be easily identified as been on the scene when the money fell out.

@Cripple Creek & @CountryCletus can't even get embryos right... You want them to secure the doors to an armored truck?

Now... Asian carp.  Waterways are tighter than a Nun!

LoL...

EDIT:  WTF... Throwing down the gauntlet, might as well notify @BringBackFergy... Get this party started!!!

Keep right on driving

There's the danger of stopping your car, exiting the vehicle in traffic, and getting run over by another vehicle

There's also the danger of somebody else stopping their car, existing their vehicle, and attacking you for whatever cash you grabbed

And whoever the cashed belonged to previously may engage law enforcement to track down their stolen money

So.  If something flies off/outta my vehicle and someone takes it.  I can claim they stole it?

I agree... But a little situational awareness goes a long way of solving the safety issue. Just saying.

I’m not getting out of my car on 285 for a few hundred bucks. Heck, it takes that much just to get me ON 285 in the first place!

Since I doubt they would be able to tell how much you picked up I'd turn in money but keep a reasonable finder's fee plus miles and expenses.

Wouldn’t shock me if the driver’s locker currently holds a cool 100K right now while 75K was “let go” to flap in the breeze, as the perfect cover up to a story that all 175K was lost this way...or maybe I just need to put down my latest Clive Cussler thriller:D

People risk their lives even more everyday for much, much less.  Grab 20-25 bills.  That's a couple months work.

Risk yourself for the man @ much less or choose free will?

"There are those who think that life
Has nothing left to chance
A host of holy horrors
To direct our aimless dance
A planet of playthings
We dance on the strings
Of powers we cannot perceive
The stars aren't aligned
Or the gods are malign
Blame is better to give than receive
You can choose a ready guide
In some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide
You still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears
And kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose free will
There are those who think that
They've been dealt a losing hand
The cards were stacked against them
They weren't born in Lotus-Land
All preordained
A prisoner in chains
A victim of venomous fate
Kicked in the face
You can't pray for a place
In heaven's unearthly estate
You can choose a ready guide
In some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide
You still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears
And kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose free will
Each of us
A cell of awareness
Imperfect and incomplete
Genetic blends
With uncertain ends
On a fortune hunt
That's far too fleet
You can choose a ready guide
In some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide
You still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears
And kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose free will"

Nice!  Cordeless I hope!  Don't want those pesky do gooders wizzing by and getting tangled in your extension cord!

Safety first!!!!
