Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 Even after many of us said we were strictly reading ‘National Lampoon’, we were still sneaking ‘Mad’, for their first class parodies. (Voyage to See What’s at the Bottom, et al.)

Chandler#81 Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 I still get my son one for an Xmas stocking stuffer. (Ok, I read them too) Sad.?
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 Sign of the times. Two parter, IMO... 1) A generally less intelligent population and 2) the death of traditional media continues.
row_33 Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 MAD was too influential on my 1970s upbringing. downloaded a zip file with every issue for 1974 to 1981, can remember about half the contents of each

apuszczalowski Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 I think I still have almost every issue from the early 90s to almost 2000 in a tote in my basement. I remember my first issue, it was from 1992 I believe and the Iraq War, had Schwartzkoff on it I think? Bought it while I was at a store with my cousin in the summer then started collected every issue until late 90s
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ became ‘201 Minutes of a Space Idiocy’. * Spy vs. Spy (vs. Spy, at times.). ?
