RochesterRob Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 (edited) Best remembered as one of the players on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In. He did the German soldier who said "Very Interesting." He also did the skits involving the dirty old man Tyrone trying to seduce Ruth Buzzi's homely lady. More entertaining than quite a few others on there including Joann Worley and Goldi Hawn. Marv's Neighbor Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Remember Ruth Buzzi Ginsberg. Arte was the guy on the tricycle too, that kept tipping over! Rip Arte!
RaoulDuke79 Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 First thing I thought when I saw Arte was Artie Lange.

row_33 Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 RIP, many laughs for my very early years in life, raised by the TV the best tribute to your work was getting Michael Corleone to croak and fall off his seat at the end of Godfather 3, just like you did when Ruth hit you with the purse. duh-duh duh-duh-duh-duh
bbb Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 A lot of celebrities dying lately who I thought were dead already - since I hadn't heard anything about them in 40 years. 1

I was shocked when Sid Caesar died a few years ago. G.B. Shaw and Harry Truman also lived a long time after they were not public figures. 1

Saxum Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 I remember his last TV/video performance. It was classic Artie voice playing Virman Vundabar, one of Darkseid's colorful stooges on Justice League Unlimited. Virman Vundabar : Kalibak, Kalibak, Kalibak... I have used every vile punishment, every known torture and still you refuse to join Virman Vundabar's noble cause. Kalibak : You're about as noble as my armpit. Virman Vundabar : Very well. You've forced me to my last resort... [from behind his back he brings out a-] Virman Vundabar : Cake!
