Remember the 80s and 90s when Kevin Costner seemed to be in everything?  One of the worst actors of all time, IMO.

Kevin Costner is a decent actor.

Hollywood tried to make him an "every man" type of actor, so they put him in various types of movies, and it just didn't work. He just is not versatile.

Pretty much the same way Ben Affleck is.

meh... of all times?

No.  IMO that goes to Bill Paxton, Nicolas Cage, Steven Seagal and Val Kilmer

I think Costner and Cage are comparable.  Same dry demeanor regardless of role.  But I still like Nick Cage more.

Hey, at least this is a remake of a 15 year old franchise, that was a remake of a then 20+ year old franchise. Spiderman has had three in the past decade and a half or so.

I don't consider comics having to pass same test. Comics are meant to be expanded on.

You know Hollywood has run out of original ideas when they start making remakes of remakes.

Going by the trend the last decade this should be a all male cast shouldn't it?

I think by current Hollywood trend it should be all transgender so they can blame fickle audiences when sales are not as good as they hope.
