Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 (edited) Damm could have saved $10. I ordered it for the $25 price couple weeks back. My take on it is, has many well written articles, if you're looking for an overall good sports "magazine" it's well worth it. But as far as much localized Bills coverage, sorry for the haters, but the BN far exceeds at least in quantity. For the price I paid a good deal, thought I saw the full price is over $100 a year which is what I'd assume I'd pay next year to renew. Well that ain't happening at that price. If they offered me $50 for the year, likely would do it, but not higher unless things change. The Blitz at $36 a year is still a good deal for quite a bit of Bills coverage IMO. And to the people who state "I refuse to pay for online content" so did you steal newspapers all your life? On 6/20/2019 at 1:00 PM, RobbRiddick said: I miss the days of real newspapers. That is very true and TBD shows me that pretty often as so many articles in the News section are from The Blitz and Im forced to change IP Addresses to read the ones I want. I'll likely stop being cheap and just pay for it soon. The Athletic has been worth it so far and I'm sure I'll more than get my money's worth during the season.

The slow trickle of articles in the "down time" between the draft and training camps is a real thing at The Athletic. Once training camp starts, there are daily articles. Once the season starts, then it's REALLY worth the price. Admittedly, though, there's not much new content on there between May 1st and July 27th. Edited July 4, 2019 by Logic

All excellently written, and if I don't read another piece, I will still not be unsatisfied. Glad this opportunity came. Worth the price of admission, to me. WTF else am I gonna read? Mike F'n Florio? I have a sneaking suspicion those weren’t $8 articles

HOUSE Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 (edited) $2.99 per month for Jerry Sullivan? Edited July 6, 2019 by HOUSE 1

You are paying $2.99 per month to have Jerry Sullivan NOT have articles in it (sounds like blackmail) if he has not found way to write for them either with his own name or using an alias. Now regarding Atlantic are there historical articles as well?

I gave it a try... while there do seem to be a few good articles, I haven't been particularly impressed with the quantity. I'll be curious to see what comes out during the season.

Agree because he actually could be a good writer, something especially Sully couldn't and still can't do. 2
PromoTheRobot Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Not a good idea to keep cutting the price when I already renewed at a higher rate. On 7/6/2019 at 4:12 PM, wppete said: This^^^^^^ i don’t get people paying for content these days. Silly people do. You get what you pay for.
