LeGOATski Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Pretty uninspiring list. I'm a grown man that wants to see Toy Story 4, though. I'll go by myself. I don't care. I also like scary movies. Is Child's Play a complete remake?

Looking forward to it. Yes, Child's Play is a complete re-make. I only saw the original film and never bothered with the sequels, even though they have a following. A re-make does not excite me that much. However, Mark Hamill as the voice of Chucky, sounds very delicious.
Buffalo_Gal Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Pass. Well, I'd go see the Secret Life of Pets if I had any grandchildren to drag... er, take to see it, but I don't. Nothing else is remotely interesting to me.

For me, it's all about Toy Story 4.
Rico Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Dark Phoenix was watchable, but really not that good. I was most annoyed at the very beginning, when the screen says “1975” and Werewolfs of London comes on the car radio. 1

MIB might be worth seeing on the big screen, as well as Dead Don't Die and Annabelle. The Conjuring universe movies are hit-and-miss. I liked the other Annabelle movies overall. Hated The Nun.

I have not seen any of The Conjuring or Annabelle movies. Are they worth watching? The Nun, looked awful. Also, the assassin movie, "Anna", looks interesting, and has a good cast. It's also another attempt for director Luc Besson to show that he is still relevant. Anyone else interested in this film?

Yeah, the Conjuring movies are fun horror flicks if you're into that genre. Not spectacular, but I don't think you'll be disappointed.

He was by far the best part of their series of 4 movies. Ultimately though, I think the main thing that hurt this movie is that we're not all that invested into this incarnation of Jean Grey. If they had introduced her prior to the last crap show of a movie, it might mean a bit more.
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Watching the ‘Yesterday’ trailer, I think it was inspired by younger TBD members reading row_33’s writings about the group. ?

Hopefully it's better than the bland "Across the Universe" movie, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.
T&C Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Toy Story 4 must have been in the works for a very long time, Don Rickles died over 2 years ago.

She had no personality throughout the whole movie. It was painful every time she spoke.
The Poojer Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 My 2 oldest "grew-up" pretty much in parallel with Andy from Toy Story, so I am definitely going, I'll probably bring a couple boxes of tissues to try and stem the tide of tears from causing a major flood in the theater. 1
unbillievable Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Dark Phoenix is the worst movie of the year, so far. I'll probably go watch "Yesterday". Reminds me of Hot tub time machine, but with Beatles instead of Black-Eyed Peas.
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Saw MIB yesterday - entertaining enough. Hemming and hawing about Toy Story - the trilogy ended so perfectly that I see this as a money grab which should not be rewarded.

The trilogy did end perfectly and I was afraid they'd pull an Indiana Jones 4. However, it seems they beat the odds as the reviews have been just as good for Toy Story 4 as the previous three so far.
Mark Vader Posted June 23, 2019 Author Posted June 23, 2019 Just saw "Toy Story 4". Disney & Pixar once again did a great job. I think that 2 & 3 are better than this, but they still made a very good story, lots of funny moments. Forky is a funny addition. It's great seeing all of these characters again, see it and enjoy. One more thing, the opening scene of this movie really shows just how far animation of this type has advanced since the first Toy Story movie. Amazing. "Finding Dory" was a money grab, "Toy Story 4" is worth the price of admission. 1
