The Buffalo Bills enter the 2019 season with plenty of talent and depth. Making the final 53-man roster won’t be easy this season as general manager Brandon Beane has rebuilt the roster after having to unload some bad contracts from the previous regime.

Many 53-man roster spots have been locked down entering this season, but there’s always a few surprises in store come September. Which current Bills players could win a starting job or secure a spot on the roster? Here’s one underrated player to watch at every position

I think Sills could turn out to be a gem as a UDFA and cut into some people's playing time once the pads are on.

I'm going with Trent Murphy

Trent Murphy?  How would that be a surprise if he starts and why would that be underrated?

Many here thought he was an overpaid under achieving bust . Judging from last year a major rebound would be a surprise.

Weak article, IMO.  "Shake up the roster" - Waddle, Johnson, Murphy, Sweeney - really.

Weak concept. To do 1 underrated player at every position is poor planning from the get go

He was a good player when not hurt and he's our starting left defensive end.  Who would you have starting in front of him for him to be a surprise starter?

Which is an example of the poor concept. DE is an easy skip with hughes, Shaq, Murphy. None of them make a good hidden gem story and the deep depth isn’t terribly exciting

Further, surprise/underrated starter vs making the 53 man roster are two wildly different topics.

DiMarco

Seriously, that would mess up everyone's 53 man roster predictions, but it would be very nice if he returned to the weapon he was in Atlanta.

Mine before reading the article:

QB: Jackson (obviously)

Rb: Yeldon

TE: Sweeney

WR: Sills

T: Waddle

G: Boetger

? ?

DE: D. Johnson

DT: ? (Maybe Harry, who doesn’t get a ton of love anywhere but around here)

LB: ?

CB: Ryan Lewis

S: Siran Neal

Kevin Johnson could make an impact.  As a former first round pick who has been limited by injuries, he may finally be healthy enough to show what he can do. Early reports out of camp have been positive as well.
