It’s simply amazing to me how these career government hacks think they’ve been hired to conduct foreign policy when their job description is actually to work at the pleasure and direction of the President. We clearly need to have a huge in-service training session.

Dan Crenshaw challenges entire premise of
Ukraine impeachment efforts

by Thomas Lifson

Original Article

Finally! A political figure, rising star Rep. Dan Crenshaw of Texas, has challenged the false premise that there was anything wrong with President Trump asking for Ukrainian help in an investigation of corruption in the 2016 election undertaken by Joe Biden. Just because it would potentially help discredit a potential political opponent is no reason to override the public benefit from investigating corruption. For some reason, no other national politician has bothered making this point. Crenshaw did so yesterday on CNN, and faced intense opposition from CNN’s Chris Cuomo:

Wrong, they serve the United States, not the King. Patriots protect the country, cultist worship their criminal leader

No they actually don’t. Did you sleep through civics class? I guess you think there are players on the Bills roster still running plays from the Rex Ryan regime. You’re entitled to your opinion....but in this case you’re actually WRONG!

They might consult their constituents. According to a Grinnell College poll released today, “81% of Americans say it is not okay for political candidates in this country to ask for assistance from a foreign government to help them win an election. This number includes large portions of the president’s base of support in 2016 — Republicans (81%), evangelicals (85%), and rural dwellers (87%).” Only 7 percent say it is okay. Apparently, a large subset of that 7 percent work in the White House or serve in Congress as Republicans.

If these career government hacks honestly think that the President is abusing his power, do you think they should speak up against the President's actions or do you think that they should keep the President's abuse secret from the public?

Duh! That’s the global oath. Please show me where in the constitution it talks about policy in regards to the Ukraine. I’ll wait.

Simple: They should resign if they don’t like the direction the ‘company’ is headed.
PS: Read the transcript.

Well, there is the disagreement.  This is not a company.  It is our government.

Apparently we have only seen the portions of the transcript that Trump thought made him look good.   It didn't.  We will have to wait to read the transcript apparently.

If abuses of power are not called out, what will prevent further abuses?  An unethical President could get out of control without oversight.

When have these career government hacks EVER done anything that isn't in their own best interest first. You're talking about unelected officials who have carved out nests for themselves on our dime -- and serve the interests of the Military Industrial Complex and Intelligence Complexes first and foremost.

The same MiC and USIC who:

* Lied us into 18 years of endless war over the false promises of WMD

* Lied to us about domestic spying

* Lied to us about Russia/Trump conspiracy

Why should we trust a single word they ever say unless it's backed up by unimpeachable evidence -- which to date, nothing in this Ukraine story has been backed up other than there was no quid pro quo.

You keep wanting to trust the very people who keep lying to you. You're like an abused dog who's been beaten into submission -- but is so ***** up that you think you're resisting something when all you're doing is assuring you remain ignorant.

Correct, Chuck.

This is about 2016, still. Because the left has nothing to offer but lies, smears, and projection. They lust for power, nothing more.

Again, if they're so confident that what happened was a crime -- why are they doing everything in secret?

Oh, right. Because they're not confident. They're trying to run the exact same play they ran with Russia/Trump and hoping the country doesn't notice.

That won't work. It's going to cost them the House. The only ones swayed by any of this are those who already made up their minds due to rampant TDS.

Using our taxpayer money to influence the 2020 election instead of doing their jobs. That's the Democrats for you in the age of President Donald Trump. And our fabulous "press" thinks that is A-Ok! ? Shesh
