I wouldnt give up a first rounder - but a second? Maybe. But only if in the OTAs the Bills feel Shady has lost a step. Five year 40 mill is a steal for Bell.

Jets would be foolish to trade him to us - but who else needs him AND has cap space AND draft capital?

If the Bills were going to give up any draft compensation, wouldn’t they have just outbid the Jets in the first place ?

Is the money the Jets are going to bw on the hook for worth a draft pick or two though?

Wow, how idiotic would the Jets have to be to trade a guy they just signed (and paid a huge signing bonus) to a division rival? Nobody could be that dumb, right? Right!?

I’d assume that it’ll be next year that they try to move him. You just can’t justify it this fast

Let's hope it happens. I want to see if Gase could possibly get fired before ever coaching a game.

Next step, trade Darnold.

This is almost definitely not going to happen, but I hope it does. I hope they trade him for a third round pick and he runs for 2,000 yards. I then hope they use the third round pick to take a kicker who has gout.

This is speculation of the most speculative, based on rumors Gase wasn't "all in" on the big contract Bell was given.

IF the NYJ were to throw $12M down the crapper by trading him before he plays a down, who MIGHT they trade him to.

They won’t trade Bell.  It makes little sense, plus as you said, they’ve already paid him a ton of guaranteed money.   There’s really not a ton of cost savings.  Plus, Bell is kind of good, you know?

While we are still in the realm of speculation, the Bills should offer McCoy and a draft pick in exchange for Bell. While he does sound like somewhat of a drama queen (ahem... king), he is a game breaker and just the sort of dual threat weapon the Bills need to round out their offense. Bell and Singletary can be a deadly combination.

Unpopular opinion but I dont think Gase is that bad and hes right about not wanting to pay a running back that much money. The Jets were basically building the team like the Bills had been during the drought. To be successful you need to get out of cap jail and spend money on positions that are coveted in said scheme.GM and coach need to be on the same page. We(Bills) are finally building the team the right way but people thought Mcbean went nuts trading Watkins and Darby remember. Those moves where chess moves not checkers moves. I love to jump on the bandwagon and laugh at the tire fire that is the Jets but...ah never mind Gase is ghost face yacked and their doomed lol

While the Jets being laughably dysfunctional is usually a pretty safe bet, even they are not this crazy.  But it will be fun to watch when Bell starts crying in a year or two.

And no, I wouldn't dream of trading a high pick for Bell and his contract.

This makes zero sense for the Bills. Why give up a draft pick and take on a contract you didn't write?

In this absurd hypothetical world, you'd be paying him 12 mil less than the contract he signed.

If true, the Jets would reach a level of stupidity of epic proportions. They can't be that stupid...
