Has there ever been a time before the modern era where there weren't any Presidential debates?

2016. Neither of them were very presidential.

I just don't think they can get away with that. Most people already acknowledge Biden's dementia. They won't be quiet if he decides to stay in the basement.

I can't wait till the PACs start running ads that consist of nothing but a loop of Biden making irrational and confused statements.

Given your premise, Biden should be chomping at the bit to debate Trump anywhere, anytime.

.....and without strings attached, but I bet he won't.

Because, truth is, Biden is an old gray mare who his "handlers" want to keep quiet in the barn.

That’s funny cuz who was the one debating whether to participate in the debates?

Will Trump Debate a Democrat in 2020? He’s Not So Sure.

Trump May Skip Debates, or Seek New Host, if Process Isn’t ‘Fair’

Trump Is Already Claiming 2020 Debates Are Rigged Against Him

Yeah ok - such a petulant child.

You came up with all that in under 10 minutes all on your own ?

No doubt somebody is feeding you doing this.

according to the Cook Political Report, are a good bet to lose Senate control instead. “Ultimately, every day that Trump stubbornly refuses to change course is another day that it becomes increasingly likely he may not only tank his own re-election bid but . . . . take the Republican-held Senate down with him. At this point, a net gain of five to seven seats for Democrats looks far more probable than the one to three seat gain that would leave them shy of a majority.” The array of states in jeopardy for Republicans is quite striking. “Arizona is falling down the list for the GOP to defend, and Colorado is threatening to. If the election were today, Arizona, Colorado and North Carolina stand as the most vulnerable, closely followed by Maine,” Cook’s analysis finds. “That leaves what Republicans see as the tipping point states of Montana, Iowa and Georgia. But they have other states they have to watch and worry about, including Kansas, Texas, and even Alaska and South Carolina.”

Not to mention deeply insecure. They have to keep telling themselves that they're going to win in November, but if they don't it was totally because of Russian Chinese interference. It certainly can't be because they're running unlikeable batshit crazy candidates promising unrealistic batshit crazy policies.

In 2016 they predicted Hillary winning 3 states she lost and that is not including the "tossup" states. Even if they are not political operatives their handle on Trump is not great.

Of course he won't.

Joe doesn't know what day it is, let alone who Omar is.

Joe may not know who Omar is, but he’s heard Omar’s coming:
