Right away peeled, even easier under cold running water. I never did it, but they told me after multiple tries that the shell sticks to the egg. Even after taking them straight to the fridge and submerging them in ice water. Not sure how long the went between delivery and preparation.
KD in CA Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I never cared, but now I've been informed that I have a secret bias toward white eggs that I need to acknowledge, so going forward I'll be eating more brown eggs. 3

I just looked at egg cartons even a weeks old and it says June 6th... Eggs last along time and actually better if not that new (what I recall reading somewhere). 4 minutes ago, KD in CA said: I never cared, but now I've been informed that I have a secret bias toward white eggs that I need to acknowledge, so going forward I'll be eating more brown eggs. Just so you know. I am giving you 250 "adversity points" for this post. Hope it takes you to the next level! NOW, we just gotta find a way to spot the Sabres to a 3 goal lead and Bills 17 (28 against the Cheaters in Foxborough).?
mead107 Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 We have to refrigerate eggs. In Europe they don’t. https://amp.businessinsider.com/why-europeans-dont-refrigerate-their-eggs-2018-4 How many eggs do you eat ? I most time have 3 eggs. Omelette or fried love hard boiled eggs love egg Benedict with hash. I eat eggs 4-6 times a week. 1

We keep our eggs in the fridge..my aunt, for example, has a bowl of them on her kitchen counter...24/7. I guess aborted chickens don't need to be refrigerated..

I was told that when hens lay eggs there is some king of mucus that dries and seals the shell and is best not to wash it off. If its really bad like covered in ***** I'll wash it. Usually they are clean like you see in the store. That’s what the daughter in law was advised to do when she first got the hens, and practices that procedure.

I just read an article of things that you don't (NECESSARILY) need to refrigerate. Eggs, were one of them. Hard to believe, carton says to refrigerate. https://www.editorchoice.com/foods-never-refridgerate/?utm_source=zemanta&cid=549659&_z1_adgid=549659&_z1_msid=b1_outbrainrtb&_z1_pub=abcnews.go.com&_z1_caid=8100070&_z1_adgid=549659&_z1_caid=8100070&_z1_msid=b1_outbrainrtb&_z1_pub=abcnews.go.com&_z1_tg=lamplighter EGGS: "This debate is as old as the fridge itself – where do you store your eggs? We’ve known people on either side of the debate who are both adamant that eggs should be absolutely and undeniably in/out the fridge. Which is it?"

Ex...and yet we are told not to leave baked goods out at room temp for more than 3 days if they contain eggs.(donuts, cookies etc)

The shell is protection. A crack, oozing egg, another story. Probably a day or two in fridge. Forget about Redlinski parking lot in July!

Chef Jim Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I dream of the day an egg is judged based on the content of it's yolk and not the color of it's shell. 1 1

Cover and let sit 10 minutes and chill under cold water. Perfect every time. I actually have no problem with cooking them less. I like soft slightly runny yolks in my hard boiled eggs. 1

You can put a cracked egg(no shell) in a coffee cup..then into the microwave for about 20 seconds..check on it don't walk away..40 seconds total..give or take.Just make sure they don't blow up. I have a good friend in Vegas that is the food purchaser for Hilton Hotels..he told me,eggs are very much secondary..fresh vegetables and fruits need daily buying...that's how shotty produce has become in this country. Keep in mind...he's the same bud that attacked me with a broom..he had a horsehead on and was laced on peyote. Chefs are a odd breed Edited May 17, 2019 by Misterbluesky 1

You would like my daughter in law. She refuses to charge anyone for eggs. The eggs from her hens are truly ‘free at last’.
The Senator Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 For me, one egg of a leatherback sea turtle, in a cold beer, with a dash of tobasco. .
