What a beautiful legacy. We will all go at some point. Few of us will go out like this.

Well done, Ezra.

A wonderful legacy for Ezra and his family.  Once again Bills fans prove this is more than just a "team" thing.   This is a large family bound together by our love for WNY, Buffalo (even if you weren't born there) and for each other.  Even a man who grew up in El Paso in a family of Cowboy fans is embraced....RIP Ezra Castro...Viva Los Bills!!!!

I love how fans come together on these things.

I'm critical of our fanbase but I do think we deserve a lot of credit for consistently coming through on these kind of things.

This whole process is inspiring. From Ezra's selfless request, to the folks like Del Reid and Jonah Javad who picked up the ball to make it happen, to all the donors who responded, and now to the WNY companies who pitched in to make these backpacks beyond cool. A lot of good happening here. Great job all.

My son, recent Niagara University grad, asked if he could help, and was sent an invite/Thank you from Mr. Del Reid to be a part of the Volunteers there today.

He drove from Rochester this morning and is there helping at  to New Era Field.

So cool Pancho, in spite of the awful health issues, was still thinking of others...

Did not see this mentioned:

  • ‘Huddling for a good cause, Bills players such as Harrison Phillips, Stephen Hauschka, Dion Dawkins, Lorenzo Alexander and Reid Ferguson, joined staff and over 250 volunteers to stuff 5,000 bags. Of the finished backpacks, 3,000 will be sent to Texas, Castro’s home state, and the remaining allotment (2,000) will be distributed throughout Western New York.’

Volunteers (including companies in WNY supplying items) in WNY sending majority of items to Texas.  Personally I would see more of a need for supplies in WNY especially Buffalo schools considering the income disparity between Texas and WNY.  Was the allocation distribution determined by him or some organizer.
