I caught just a couple minutes of the show today, but the during the segment I heard, he was speaking favorably about his CBS time as if this was a voluntary thing he was looking forward to, fwiw.

When you really get to the nuts and bolts of it, when you consider what he has here with the radio show, and the dealership commercials, wouldn't you want to stop being a sideline reporter in your mid 50s?

He mentioned that as well. He's 57 and looks forward to finally going to every home game, tailgating, and golfing on his weekends off. Seemed like an amicable parting of ways by the way he described it. He also made light to the fact that CBS was great to work for, and they probably wanna go in a little bit of a younger direction, and he couldn't blame them

Frees up time to watch his son’s games in person.

Are you saying he's not? A lot can be said about Murphy, but he's a good radio professional that's good at speaking and getting his point across.

Little late bud....

My bad, didn't come up on my site search. I deleted the Kelso reference and just kept the Tasker info.

Tasker has his gig with West Herr Automotive to fall back on. He will be fine...even when he is dumped from OBL.

Wish he would have been dumped today instead of Kelso

Excited about the Eric Wood addition. He was always a good guest on all the WGR shows. Hopefully he does better as a commentator than at his "retirement" "speech".
