akcash Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 Whats your view on that 53rd tough cut? What will be the scenario after its all narrowed down? This is going to be such a competitive spot on the team. You got guys like Sills and Duke Johnson who if they turn out could mean we keep 7 receivers. The tight end battle and running back battle are also super competitive. I could see us keeping 7 wide outs and 4 running backs. IMO I think Tommy Sweeney makes the team. Say Sills and D. Johnson both earn their way onto the roster. I feel like that 53rd spot is going to be between Jake Fisher, Patrick Dimarco, Jason Croom if they decide to keep 7 receivers, 4 rbs, and 4 tes. Or they could decide to just keep 3 TE's... At least thats my view of it... I guess if I had to make a bold prediction I would guess they would use the tight ends and running backs as full backs when they use a full back.
Bangarang Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 I keep seeing Fisher’s name as someone who will make the team and I legit have no idea why. 3 1

I think he was signed as insurance just in case they didn’t get someone they liked in the draft. Now that they drafted two I think fisher is long gone

CaptnCoke11 Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 (edited) It’s Sweeney’s spot to lose imo. I don’t see a way Fisher makes it 2 minutes ago, billspro said: Really? He played OT in the NFL, he can block. He couldn’t block as an OT or he’d still be one Edited May 10, 2019 by CaptnCoke11 1

I agree he’s a long shot to make the team but we’ve never seen him play before. He’s in the process of losing 40 lbs and changing positions. He’s pretty much an unknown underdog at this point imo.

Ethan in Cleveland Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 53rd player will be Teller, Feliciano, or Bodine. Sadly DiMarco will be one of the other 52.

And it's Duke Williams btw Offense likely 3QBs, 4 RBs, 4 TEs with one playing HBack/FB role, 6 WRs and 8 OLs. Last guy on roster is on offense so right there.
Orlando Buffalo Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 In regards to fisher and why so many see him making roster- he is like having an additional lineman on field when he is there and they can teach him specific things more easily as a goal line specialist than trying to use a normal tackle eligible. I think he makes roster if the Bills plan on going extra lineman on most plays inside 10 and he can high point a ball.
billsfan_34 Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 (edited) Honestly, I think it is premature to make an educated guess on remaining roster spots. Half way through camp we will have a much cleaner picture. Fun topic for sure, just not relevant at this point imo. Edited May 10, 2019 by billsfan_34
HOUSE Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 (edited) You pick.... Could be anyone. #87 is being pushed off the bench .. Edited May 10, 2019 by HOUSE

Can't catch, can't run, his blocking is overrated. Just keep an extra blocking TE. 1
