Former Saints’ TE Benjamin Watson, who had intended to retire, is in New England today visiting with the Patriots, per source. Watson also is considering the Chiefs, Bills and 49ers. His retirement didn’t last long.

Id rather see what Knox, Croom, Sweeney, etc can do than sign a 1 year guy who's 38/39.

Makes more sense for the Pats than for us.

42 on the Wonderlic and he still has wheels.  TE is already overfilled right now.  Edge is what we really need

I guess the question is: at 137 years old, does he represent an increase in production sufficient to give up a roster spot that would otherwise be given to a young, developing TE with upside?  I'm skeptical.

This.  He's never been more than a #2 TE, even in his prime, which has long since passed.

Agreed, any of those guys next to Kroft will certainly be as effective, I'd like to think.
