RobbRiddicksTDLeap Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 (edited) @ddaryl what would be fair compensation for an over 30 RB who has been in decline for the last 2 seasons, especially last season. The Bills would be lucky to get anything for him, IF they are considering moving on from him, which they don’t appear to be. If the Bills shop him and ask for a 4th, they’ll be lucky with a 7th. This is how it works. Just because he used to be a name player, doesn’t mean he has value to an NFL team. What team’s GM is looking at his film from last season and says, “Smithers! Call up Beane, tell him we’ll give him that 3rd round pick he’s been after.” I agree he has value to the team. He provides fire and effort. That’s huge for a young team to have a name vet buy into what the coach is selling. But he’s got limited value on the field. I hope I’m wrong, but history doesn’t indicate i will be.
