njbuff Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 The Bills can't get both, so which long shot would you prefer.............. Clownery or Julio?
billsfan_34 Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Thats a tough one- Clowney gets the edge (no pun intended) due to being younger. I think each will come with a hefty price tag so I wouldn’t pursue either. 2
BillsFanThru-N-Thru Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Clowney has my vote. Still feel we need that pass rusher on the opposite side of Hughes
/dev/null Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Neither Mortgaging draft capital and eating up a chunk of cap space on a single player will not solve all of this teams problems 3 1 2
CSBill Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Not even close, Jone!!!! Clowney is good, but he is not as big of a difference-maker as Julio Jones. 2
Rc2catch Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Julio is a pipe dream. They’re not trading him now and it’s highly doubtful they ever would have.
billsbackto81 Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Always felt Clowney is over rated. You'd think with Watt and Mercilus he'd produce over 15 sacks a season. Jones would give Allen and the Bills the big threat this offense needs. 1
H2o Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Neither. I don't think either guy puts us over the top. If the cost for Clowney mirrors what the Chiefs paid for Clark no way. I also don't see any reason the Falcons would want to move Julio. 2
atlbillsfan1975 Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Julio isn’t going anywhere. Why not ask ‘trade for Mike Evans’? They have the same probability of occurring. 1
Max Fischer Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Julio Jones, but Falcons won’t trade him so it’s moot subject. Clowney is an elite athlete but is not an elite edge rusher. Something is missing in his game. 1

The Texans ask him to do a lot of other stuff rather than just rush the passer though. 6

If the Falcons struggle this season (I think they might) then I think Julio could be available for trade next offseason. I think the Falcons would likely try a mini reset and Julio at 31 with one year left on his deal might fetch them a high pick to help that reset. If Ridley has a good season they might think Jones is expendable. If at that point an elite receiver seems to be the missing piece to put Buffalo over the top then I'd have interest depending on where we are drafting and who might come out that could be an alternative solution. 1
ALF Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 I would rather roll over the remaining cap space to next year. See what the biggest needs are after this season and then spend and trade.
ProcessTruster Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 neither. shiny objects. too expensive. we just got out of cap hell. lets not go back into it
