D521646 Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Ok, the draft is over, acquisitions still pending, but all in all, we have our roster that will be coming to camp. I was thinking of a nickname for our front 7, and even though at least one positoon is not set, I'm coining the term now. Front four: Shaq/Lorax/Murphy Phillips/Phillips - Star/Oliver Hughes Lorax/Edmunds/Milano I'll take it, but obviously we can improve the left side somewhat, although I want to go on record that signing Ansah is a mistake. In any event, anyone like the nic? Tim- 1
John from Riverside Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Now that there is a interior pass rusher I like it a lot 1
DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 cool nic and something to ponder although it would seem they would have to have a season of play under their belt to earn such a magnificent nic-name? 1
HuSeYiN_NYC Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 (edited) So no love for the cornerbacks and safeties? I never been a fan of nicknaming a part of the group of a defense... An individual having a nickname I'm cool with but other than that, the nickname should be given to the whole defense... just my take... Edited April 29, 2019 by HuSeYiN_NYC 2
NewEra Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Gonna need a new nickname after this year. Don’t waste it on these guys 1

I thought that as well, but magnificent 11 didn't have the same ring to it. Tim-
Cotton Fitzsimmons Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Here's the way YE OLE sees it, gents... the all important question of naming this unit really hinges on whether or not McBeane lands Clowney. What is the status of this unsubstantiated rumor these days, anyway?
klos63 Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Let's have them perform magnificently as a unit first. 1
TigerJ Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Oliver needs to teach the rest of the bunch how to handle ornery horses. Then we can call them the "horse rasslers."

Maybe it will become 8 with Ansah / Clowney:) Edited April 29, 2019 by IgotBILLStopay
PolishPrince Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 I irrationally hate that people need to nickname every player, every group, every year on this board... especially before they do something 3 1
fergie's ire Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 If we are going to go Magnificent Seven...I think we need to match each one up with a character in the movie (old school, please). So...for example...who is the Charles Bronson? And does one shy away from contact? We need the cowardly one.

Just as juvenile is one always referring to athletes by nicknames as if they know them personally.
Stanley Lombardi Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 (edited) "The Collectors." (Formally "The Bill Collectors," with "Bill" being understood and unspoken). Edited April 29, 2019 by Blue on Blue more info
Jumpsuit Jim Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 How about “The Front Seven”? Or maybe “Defensive Front”. “The Bills’ Defensive Front Seven”.
BigPappy Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Can they all play a down before we anoint them any nicknames please? I get the excitement but lets see what we got first and see how they gel and come together. They played well last year but they weren't exactly stellar and now we have some new pieces to the puzzle that need to learn to work together and all be on the same page.
