OnTheRocks
"@340, you'll be able to run behind him all game...isn't much in pass protection credited w/4 sacks allowed, 4 false starts and a couple holds or.... .....better than 50/50 chance he hurts a drive a game." Mark VI
Hey VA, can you dig up any stats on him ? You provided some excellent OL stats in that thread last week, regarding penalties, sacks etc. in comparison to the number of plays they participated in. Anything on Anderson ? LynchMob23
Damn, Ruben liked to mix in Holding too. 293097[/snapback] Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. The best linemen, especially guards, can hold and get away with it. I'm sure under the Mouse he'll be just fine.

They were doing everything they could to keep him away from Bledsoe.

The four sacks in '04 are one every three games, which again, sounds about average. This just reinforces the thought that the folks slagging BA on the Ravens boards don't have much credibility. If the running game calls for the guard to pull a lot, you'll see that guard get more than his fair share of false starts, as the key to pulling successfully is moving quickly off the snap. You'll see a guard FS most frequently on first down, usually a running down. If you pay attention, you will see that when the guard does FS under those conditions, he'll be tending to move back and toward the center. Of course, I don't know Baltimore's scheme that well, so I can't speak to the "conditions" under which he got flagged.
Rico
Stats are too great. Here's another OG who gave up slightly more than Anderson's average in the one year he started, but didn't have any false starts against him. And they also called him a turnstile. Not too shabby

Think that might have cost us a few drives last year?
