skibum Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Will probably have to make the team as a Gunner, but hopefully he can do more down the road. An elite D-line can free up a lot of space for a fast LB like this; make him look really good!
yungmack Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Missed the Combine, I believe, for med reasons. Otherwise, he was a 2nd rounder supposedly. So if the Bills cleared him physically, all all else remains the same, he's a steal. 1

The dude just flies around the field and punishes people, then picks the ball off for good measure. So you're saying Josh Allen is gonna make Joseph his b i t c h?! :P 1
Green Lightning Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 When it comes to defense, defensive backs and linebackers, I trust the process. McBeane has a pretty damn impressive track record. Kid looks like a steal.
Sig1Hunter Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Buddy of mine that is a Gators season ticket holder said “he lays people out. But, he also misses a lot of tackles. All or nothing.” 1
Logic Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Bills seem to follow the old draft adage: Day 1 is for immediate starters. Day 2 is for year 2 starters/contributors. Day 3 is for taking swings on athletic upside. Smart drafting.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 The big question will be how coachable he is. 2

Looks like a fast and disruptive player! No reason he cannot be coached out of his "ugly" traits...part of the "process"

This is a really solid pick, especially for the 5th round Dont mistake me. I do love the pick and I did watch the tape. Did you spot the missed tackles? Probably correctible by Bills coaches and yes I do agree he is good value.
NoSaint Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Should contribute as a special teamer and hopefully they build out a couple easy read packages for him. I’d assume he won’t be first off the bench in injuries but will get reps.

This is a really solid pick, especially for the 5th round I have also seen him play 3 games (and he was great vs LSU). He is always going 150 miles an hour. Strangely enough that is his strength and weakness. He usually gets to his man every time but that can cause him to overshoot or be sidestepped.
Nitro Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Love this pick. Hard nosed tackler who flies to the ball. Looks to have good lateral movement.
BobDVA Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 I think that the LSU QB sees Joseph in his sleep. I might like this guy. 1
IgotBILLStopay Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 In this draft besides their main positions Beane now consciously picking guys who will be ST mainstays. Joseph will likely be a younger Lorax in covering KOs. I like it.

I think he said that he sometimes plays like a 5 but with good coaching could be a 9. I don’t question them on defense though. They earned that. 1
