Eh.  Hughes is one of the best in the game , top 5 according to PFF , most pressures in NFL by a DE/Edge Rusher. Lorax had a great year off the edge , he was top 10 according to PFF.

Lawson looked great the last 6 gms. Murphy if healthy can be elite and we added a beast in Oliver who can get to the passer. 

Would be nice to grab one IF they are high on him but it def isn't a need imo.

 

The Jets desperately need edge rushers. They have nobody!

Murphy if healthy is the key point.  He was not impressive as a rusher last year and is a liability against the run since he does not appear to have gap/lane discipline.  I do like Hughes and Lorax (probably last year for Lorax) a lot, but we could definitely stand to add an edge, IMO.

Looking at the draft capital. It would take way to much to get back into late round 2. We would need to give up round 3, 4, 5 to get in front of the Pats 2nd pick to get Irv...Not worth it. he Pats may get him with the pick before that...

Ford is a massive, overpowering drive blocker with a nasty disposition. He plays with good balance and rarely gives ground to bull-rushers but is a better run-blocker than pass-blocker. He's a little heavy-footed sliding laterally, and his hand placement is inconsistent. He has starting experience at guard and tackle.
